Murazzi
A section of the Lido seashore is occupied by the sturdy and impressive Murazzi, a long seawall with frontal brakewaters constructed with rough-hewn blocks of Istrian stone by the Venetian Repubblic in the XVIII century in defence of Venice and its heritage against the raging waters. They stretch from the curve of Via Cristoforo Colombo to Malamocco and Alberoni. It is possible to follow an itinerary by bicycle or on foot on a panoramic paved path between the open sea and the flourishing vegetation of the island, breathing the fragrances of the wild fig-trees and the tamarisks along the whole route.

Il Lido è la località balneare meno affollata dell'Alto Adriatico. Se in passato era frequentata dalla nobiltà europea, oggi è l'ideale meta turistica per chi vuole abbinare il turismo culturale a una rilassante vacanza al mare.
